Find information about the moon.


Fast Facts: The Moon can be used with the tables of the eight planets to:

Recognize and order large numbers. Have students arrange the Sun, Moon, and planets from smallest to largest in mass and/or diameter.

Calculate the gravitational force. Use Newton's law of gravitation and the masses and distance between the Moon and Earth to determine the gravitational force between them (recommended for grades 10-12).
